Spring storms in the southern U.S.
Now there is a possibility of adverse weather conditions and flash flooding as two storms approach the region.
After soaking the Gulf Coast the first storm system and its associated front began the work week on a stormy note in parts of Florida.
The threat of storms, including dangerous lightning, will focus on the northern and central parts of the peninsula into the evening.
It is worth mentioning that the severe weather will affect several popular areas such as Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Orlando, Space Coast and Tampa Bay.
Heavy rainfall forecasted
This dry and pleasant weather will not last long, as AccuWeather meteorologists warn of another storm on the way, bringing humid weather to the south later in the week.
Similar to the first storm, this one will originate in the southern plains, bringing with it a risk of heavy rain and some strong storms in Texas and Oklahoma late Wednesday.
By Thursday, humid weather is expected to expand eastward towards the Gulf Coast and the Southeast, although the final track of the storm is still uncertain.
This uncertainty adds an extra element of caution for residents and visitors in the region, who should be prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions.
Spring storms on the East Coast
The beginning of spring will be marked by stormy conditions in parts of the southeastern and eastern coasts of the United States.
The severe storm moving southward will bring heavy rains over the Gulf of Mexico, according to expert forecasts.
One of the states most affected by heavy rainfall will be Florida, which has a severe forecast for the upcoming weekend.
A weaker area of high pressure could bring the possibility of flooding and storms farther north as well, affecting parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Carolinas.
