In an interview she gave to the program, La Mesa Caliente, Elena also recalled the last vacation she spent with La Diva de la Banda and her children. According to Laura Lucio, Jenni’s biographer, she got angry because she discovered that the woman she considered her friend had nude photos of Chiquis on her cell phone.

From Mazatlan, Sinaloa in Mexico, Elena Jiménez told Myrka Dellanos that she and Jenni Rivera had a pact, which consisted of not working on each other’s birthdays so they could celebrate together: «I have a house on the beach in Mazatlán and that’s why I come to places that bring back special memories where I feel very nostalgic.”

Elena Jiménez explained that the last time they celebrated together was not exactly on Jenni Rivera’s birthday but, rather, on a vacation in Hawaii, where she joined her then-husband, Esteban Loaiza, and their five children: Chiquis, Jenicka, Jacqie, Michael and Johnny.

“It was just the children, Esteban and I, who was the only person outside of her family, who was on those vacations. And it was precisely six months before the accident. I remember it very well as if it had happened yesterday, that I told her that she had to enjoy those vacations a lot because the family was growing. Mike’s baby was going to be born and Jacqie was going to get married, so it would be difficult to reunite everyone again.»

In another part of this interview, the woman who allegedly had a threesome with Chiquis and Esteban Loaiza revealed that, on those vacations, she and Jenni Rivera did everything from playing pranks to swimming with dolphins. Elena Jiménez was also asked to share her point of view regarding the fact that La Diva de la Banda would get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“She was trying to spend time with her kids and she bought bus tickets (where they give you a ride to some of the tourist attractions in Hollywood) and we were on the second level and we got off at one of the stops and she was looking at the stars and said: ‘One day I’m going to be there.’”

Finally, and contrary to what many believe, Elena Jiménez has a good relationship with Jenni Rivera’s children today. She even shared that, before what would have been La Diva de la Banda’s 53rd birthday, Chiquis was in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
