Although Los Temerarios announced Samuel Zamarrón’s death on November 4, 2020, the reality is that he passed away three days earlier.

Furthermore, it has been reported that Samuel changed the history of both regional Mexican music and grupera music in the United States.

Originally from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, he emigrated to the United States at a young age in pursuit of his dreams. And he was quite successful.

He was married to Graciela Villaseñor de Zamarrón, who passed away years before him. She was also the mother of his children.

Although details about his cause of death were not disclosed, it is known that he passed away in Atlanta, Georgia.

His fellow countrymen remember him as a very generous person, as he made several donations through gruperos’ dances and various events.

He also donated a classroom and a sports field, as well as uniforms and equipment to baseball teams, according to Quadratin.
