Originally from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, Nicandro Díaz was born on August 7, 1963. He would have turned 61 in 2024.

His first jobs in showbiz were as a production assistant on telenovelas, with Valentín Pimstein.

It didn’t take long for him to become a production coordinator, and in 1996, he became an associate producer.

Two years later, he became an executive producer of Gotita de Amor followed by Alma Rebelde, Carita de Ángel and ¡Vivan los Niños!

A remarkable career in TV and theater

The list of telenovelas that Nicandro Díaz worked on as a producer is virtually endless.

Some of the most notable ones are Contra Viento y Marea, Destilando Amor, Mañana es Para Siempre, Soy Tu Dueña, Amores Verdaderos, and Hasta el Fin del Mundo.

Díaz González also ventured into theater production after his success on television.

Among these stage productions are ¡Vivan los Niños!… El Musical, Hasta el Fin del Mundo and Aristemo: El Musical.

His last post was about his late uncle

In a cruel twist of fate, Nicandro Díaz’s last post is related to death.

The soap opera producer bid farewell to his beloved uncle Salvatore, who unfortunately passed away: «Hug up to the sky.»

This fact did not go unnoticed by several of his fans. One of them commented: «God, who would’ve known he’d soon join him.»

Just a day before, he shared an image expressing his gratitude to the Golpe de Suerte soap opera family.

Blood donations were requested for Nicandro Díaz

In the early hours of Monday, March 18, members of the producer’s production team asked for help on social media.

«Urgent. Friends from Cozumel, we ask for your valuable support to donate AB negative or O negative blood…»

Unfortunately, despite the efforts made by doctors at Costamed Cozumel Hospital, Díaz González passed away.

Entertainment personalities like host Adriana Fonseca and presenter Paul Stanley mourned his death.

What was the cause of Nicandro Díaz’s death?

According to Univisión, the cause of Nicandro Díaz’s death was a terrible accident.

The producer was riding a jet ski in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Because of his injuries blood was urgently needed.

Journalist Mara Patricia Castañeda stated on X that Díaz González was being transferred to Cancun and then to Mexico City.

Like millions of people across the country, Nicandro was just enjoying a holiday.
