The reason for El Pirata de Culiacán’s murder
Juan Luis Lagunas, better known as El Pirata de Culiacán, was a popular Mexican YouTuber who dared to ‘challenge’ El Mencho.
He was just 17 years old, when shot 15 times at a bar in Zapopan, Jalisco, in December 2017.
El Pirata de Culiacán’s deadly mistake
In a video shared by his friends, you can see Juan Luis Lagunas drunkenly sending message to the drug trafficker known as El Mencho.
El Pirata de Culiacán began: «El Mencho to me, s*** my c***.»
These words were quickly relayed to the leader of CJNG, who did not take long to respond to the message by murdering the young man.
The YouTuber was born in Villa Juárez, municipality of Novalato, in Sinaloa — an area controlled by the Sinaloa Cartel.

El Pirata de Culiacán wasn’t the only one to mock El Mencho and pay with his life, there were others who were killed for the same reason
Before El Pirata’s death, a hitwoman known as La Cholita met a similar fate.
La Cholita was a member of the La Nueva Familia Michoacana Cartel (LNFM) and the Viagras Cartel.
She shared videos challenging her rivals from the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel controlled by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes and was never seen again.
El Mencho does not tolerate mockery
Undoubtedly, El Mencho has no mercy for those who dare speak ill of him.
Most recently a hitman named Cholo Flechas, mocked leader of the CJNG in a video that went viral.
Cholo Flechas’ death was one of the cruelest, and the group of hitmen from the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel, shared images of his body online.
So far it has not been confirmed if the remains are were really Flechas.

YouTube Nights with Fologan, shared a video where Juan Luis Lagunas says that he isn’t dead.
In the clip you can see the YouTuber showing off his snack and a soda.
“What plebes rolls, that I am going to be dead, here I am ching… a donkey, that I am going to be dead, no mam… I am more alive than a horse.»
«Here I am enjoying life and you with your mothers …,» said El Pirata de Culiacán in the controversial video before turning on his radio at full volume.
The truth is revealed
It should be remembered that El Pirata de Culiacán was shot and killed by a group of armed men inside a bar in Jalisco, Mexico, in December 2017.
