In early May, surprising news took everyone off guard — Alix Aspe announced she would no longer appear on La Mesa Caliente.

Despite rumors, it was the host herself who revealed why she was leaving Telemundo.

Weeks earlier, she had married businessman Diego Betanzo in a ceremony at the Museo Casa de la Bola in Mexico City.

At that time, no one anticipated that the young host would no longer appear with Verónica Bastos, Myrka Dellanos and Giselle Blondet.

On her official Instagram account, where she has about 200,000 followers, Alix Aspe shared an unexpected message.

First, the TV host stated that she had been going through many significant life changes in recent weeks.

«You will no longer see me on La Mesa Caliente or on Telemundo,» she stated firmly. But that wasn’t all she shared.

She revealed more about her departure from the show she joined in February of last year.

Calmly, and with her characteristic simplicity, Alix Aspe revealed that was leaving La Mesa Caliente‘for an unexpected reason.

«As you know, this is a business, and when it came to negotiating my contract, we couldn’t reach an agreement,» the TV host said.

In total, the Mexican broadcaster spent eight years at Telemundo, where she cherished every experience and learning opportunity.

She couldn’t say goodbye without wishing the best to her colleagues, especially Myrka Dellanos, Verónica Bastos and Giselle Blondet.

Soon after her announcement, fans and celebrities alike wished Alix the best after her departure from La Mesa Caliente.

One of the first was actress and host Adamari López, who also recently left Telemundo.

«I love you, my Alix. Everything in life always happens for the best,» said the Puerto Rican beauty, who used to be one of the hosts on Hoy Día.

Additionally, journalist María Celeste Arrarás wished her luck and hoped that «good things» would come her way.

In another part of her message, Alix Aspe said that despite leaving La Mesa Caliente, she is «fine.»

«I’m confident and very excited about everything that’s coming; more eager than ever to take on the world and reach my full potential,» she affirmed.

Before concluding, she mentioned that she would continue to stay connected with her followers and that wouldn’t change.

Just three months after the news of Aliz Aspe leaving Telemundo broke, it was revealed that she already has a new project.

According to Mag, the host will join Televisa Univision’s Despierta.

In an interview with People en Español, the former colleague of Myrka, Giselle and Verónica expressed her excitement.

«It had always been a dream to return to my country (Mexico) and work at Televisa, a channel I grew up watching as a child,» she gushed.
