Originally from Mexico City, Majo Aguilar was born on June 7, 1994, so she will turn 30 in 2024.

In 2017, she released her first EP titled Tributo, paying homage to her famous grandparents, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre.

Two years later, her second album Soy dropped, but it wasn’t until 2021 that her career really began taking off.

With the single ‘No Voy a Llorar,’ from the album Mi Herencia, Mi Sangre, she conquered the top spot on the Mexico Popular Airplay chart by Billboard.

What you didn’t know about Majo Aguilar

Although her official debut could be considered her 2017 EP Tributo, Majo Aguilar appeared also appeared on a popular TV show in 2009.

Alongside her twin sister Flor Susana, the singer performed two hits by her grandmother on Don Francisco Presenta. The Chilean host is her artistic godfather.

In 2015, she recorded a song written by Ana Bárbara, called ‘Lo Busqué,’ with her cousins Leonardo and Ángela Aguilar.

In February 2023, her album Se Canta con el Corazón (Deluxe) was released. Majo is aiming for more success this year.

So, who is Majo Aguilar’s father? None other than the singer Antonio Aguilar, Jr.

Her mother is Susana Carrillo and she has a twin sister named Flor Susana, as mentioned earlier.

She also has two half-sisters: Mariana and Constanza. Majo is the niece of Pepe Aguilar and Marcela Rubiales.

Currently, she is in a romantic relationship with Gil Cerezo, the lead singer of the group Kinky. He is 16 years older than her.

In a recent interview with Bandamax, available on their YouTube channel, Majo Aguilar received a surprise message from her father.

Unable to hide his excitement, Antonio Aguilar, Jr. said he was happy because his daughter has become successful through her own talent and hard work.

«She still has a long way to go, but she has achieved success very soon, so I am happy,» said the son of Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre.

Later, he predicted a very successful career for Majo because of her impressive discipline.

After listening attentively to Antonio Aguilar, Jr.’s message, Majo Aguilar revealed what her father is really like in an interview with Bandamax.

«With my dad, I have a relationship full of love and admiration for him,» she said.

The young singer also said that her father raised her with love «for everything» — both people and animals — as well as teaching her to value things.

«I have a great teacher, and he also has a great connection with the fans,» she added.
