Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents carried out raids on Monday, March 25, at mansions associated with the singer.

Rapper Sean Combs faces serious charges

Sean «Diddy» Combs has mansions in both Los Angeles and Miami.

These raids are part of a federal investigation that appears to be linked to human trafficking, according to several U.S. media reports.

One of the raided properties is located in Holmby Hills, a luxurious Los Angeles neighborhood.

According to EFE, the area is known for being home to celebrities and previously housed the famous Playboy Mansion.

This residence is linked to the production company Bad Boy Films, which belongs to rap star Combs, according to Fox LA.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), of which the HSI is a part, confirmed the operation in a statement.

They reported that agents «executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and our local law enforcement partners.»

During the raid on the Holmby Hills mansion, several people could be seen handcuffed and sitting on the grass.

A video obtained by KTTV, a Fox affiliate, shows the moment agents arrived at one of the rapper’s mansions.

But the raid wasn’t limited to Los Angeles. Combs’ home on exclusive Star Island, a man-made island in Miami Beach, was also searched.

This is all allegedly connected to a federal investigation into human trafficking initiated in New York, according to federal sources.

One of the aspects that has focused attention on Combs is a series of lawsuits for alleged rape, EFE noted.

Diddy is accused of rape

One of the most recent lawsuits, filed in December 2023, alleges that the rapper drugged and raped a minor in his New York studio.

Several of the lawsuits were filed under the protection of the New York Victims of Gender Violence Act.

This allows survivors of gender violence to civilly sue their attackers, even after the statute of limitations has expired.

Casandra Ventura, known as Cassie, who is Combs’ ex-girlfriend, filed one of the lawsuits, accusing him of rape and abuse over a decade.

Although the two reached a financial settlement shortly after the lawsuit was filed, Cassie expressed her gratitude for the support she received and her decision to resolve the matter amicably.

«I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,» Cassie wrote following the news.

«I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.»

The rapper also released a statement saying: «We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.»

Combs defends his reputation

Combs also released a statement, expressing well wishes for Cassie and her family, while rejecting the allegations against him.

He claims that people are trying to defame him and destroy his reputation at any cost, while looking for a way to distance himself from the accusations against him.

It is expected that more information about his legal situation will be released later, noted Fox LA.
