First Jobs

Her first job was at McDonald’s, and although she didn’t earn much, she really liked it. Over time, she became an assistant manager, and although it wasn’t a great source of income, she didn’t want to leave.

However, due to this issue, she had to leave that job and for a while, she worked in different places, but it was in a hotel where she found what she didn’t know she was looking for.

In this job, her dedication to cooking flourished like never before. She prepared dishes that were not typically offered by the hotel for its customers.

One day, she decided it would be a good idea to bring tamales to work for her coworkers. They were a complete success. The chef called Rosalba to his office and asked if she was interested in preparing these on another level.

The Tamale Project is Born

The chef asked her if she would be willing to make up to 1000 tamales for the hotel and its customers. She said yes, but admits she didn’t know what she was getting into.

Her passion for cooking made her accept this task gladly, and it was the beginning of something she never thought could happen.

Along with a good friend, they are planning a restaurant specializing in Mexican dishes, and they are very excited about it due to the great reception people have shown for these dishes.

What they want to do is provide affordable quality food so that people can enjoy it at home but at an inexpensive price so that everyone can eat well.

Rosalba says she truly has a passion for cooking and that it’s something she enjoys a lot, to the point that when she had to make a considerable amount of tamales, she was scared, but her passion outweighed her fatigue.
