Gruesome crime. Police in Hawaii arrested OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney on Wednesday, Aug. 10, on a charge of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon, The Associated Press reported.
Hawaii County Police said in a statement that they assisted the US Marshals Service when they arrested the 26-year-old in Laupahoehoe, which is on the Big Island. Officers had an arrest warrant issued by Miami-Dade County, Florida.
What was Courtney Clenney arrested for?
The influencer who is known on her social media platforms, especially on OnlyFans, as Courtney Tailor, is being held at the Eastern Hawaii Detention Center while awaiting her initial court appearance in Hilo District Court on Thursday, said police.
The police statement did not elaborate on the accusations against her, but the Miami Herald reported that Clenney is accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend last April.
“I am completely shocked”
Her Miami defense attorney, Frank Prieto, told the Miami Herald that she was in Hawaii while in rehab for substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder. “I’m completely shocked, especially since we were cooperating with the investigation and offered to voluntarily surrender her if she were charged,” Prieto said. «We hope to clear her name in court.»
In April, the model was arrested and later taken to a mental institution after stabbing 27-year-old Christian Obumseli to death, police said. She was quite a celebrity on social networks where she not only showcased her beauty, but she also shared intimate photos.
Did Courtney Clenney act in self-defense?
In response to requests for justice from the victim’s family, attorney Prieto said at the time of the crime that the model had acted in self-defense and that there was plenty of evidence that the young woman was a victim of domestic abuse and possibly also human trafficking, according to Univision.
Prieto said that on the night of April 3, Clenney was forced to stab Obumseli after he grabbed her by the neck. According to neighbors of the couple, and people close to them, the relationship was always volatile with multiple reports of domestic violence and complaints where the police were forced to intervene several times, reported The Daily Mail.
How did the murder happen?
Following the murder, police responded to a 911 call from Clenney last April at a luxury apartment building in Miami, Florida. There, they found her boyfriend lying on the ground stabbed and the model covered in blood. The man was immediately taken to the hospital.
