He says that narcissism is a mental issue that has to be identified by a trained expert using certain guide.

José Luis points out that not having empathy is a main trait of narcissism.

He explains empathy as being able to feel and get the other’s feelings, not just think about them logically. On the other hand, he talks about sympathy as getting emotions but not feeling them.

Not caring, however, means you only worry about other person if they help you somehow.

Some signs that might hint at being closer to being a narcissist are not having real empathy, messing with feelings, and often blaming the partner in talks.

However, these signs are not enough to say someone is narcissistic and calling a partner this without a expert’s check is not responsible.

José Luis says that, instead of focusing on calling the partner narcissistic, it is vital to think about how you feel in the relationship and get experet help if you run into issues.

He also suggests that picking a partner might be tied to old hurts from childhood and personal ways of acting that need to be looked at in therapy.
