MASS SHOOTING THREAT. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confirmed they received a credible threat of a mass shooting. Local authorities in Kansas City canceled summer classes in order to prevent a massacre like the one that occurred just a few weeks ago at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

The Blue Springs Police Department alerted the FBI to the possibility of an unspecified mass shooting and the federal agency was able to confirm that the threat was real. In view of the situation, on Wednesday, several school districts in Jackson County decided to cancel their summer activities and programs.

Safety is our top priority and we are committed to telling you what we can when we can,” the Blue Springs School District (BBSD) began in a statement posted via his Facebook account on Wednesday night.
