Did Abraham Quintanilla deny a blood transfusion that could have saved Selena?

In the mid-1980s, Selena y Los Dinos became a sensation, especially because of their lead singer who was an amazing dancer. Years later, the young daughter of Abraham Quintanilla became the queen of Tex-Mex and had a very promising career. Tragically, that all ended with her murder.

Unfortunately, the Amor Prohibido singer was murdered by Yolanda Saldívar at the age of 23. Saldívar was  very close to the singer. This was shocking to Selena’s followers because she was at the height of her career when everything was taken from her on March 31, 1995.

The relationship between Yolanda Saldívar and Selena Quintanilla

According to the BBC Selena and Yolanda met in 1991 when the former nurse approached the Selena’s father Abraham Quintanilla with the idea of creating a fan club. He agreed and Saldívar was named president of the fan club.

When the fan club was created, many of Selena’s fans joined and its popularity helped Yolanda get closer to the Como la flor singer. She became Selena’s friend and her personal assistant. She subsequently managed many of Selena’s business affairs.

Yolanda Saldívar violated Selena’s trust

According to the BBC, four years after the fan club was formed, Selena and Yolanda began to have tension in their friendship. Saldívar was dismissed from being the president of the fan club and the Tex-Mex singer’s business manager. It is said that she was removed from the position by orders of Abraham and not Selena.

Chris Pérez himself, said that before Selena’s murder, Yolanda still had some administrative papers in her possession. The queen of Tex-Mex wanted to meet with her so that she could retrieve those documents and thus separate herself from Saldívar. Sadly, as we know, it all ended in murder. Is Abraham Quintanilla to blame for the death of his daughter?

According to Gluc, the 23-year-old singer could have been saved by receiving a blood transfusion because when they found her she was very weak after losing so much blood. However, they say that the young woman’s strict father, Abraham Quintanilla, supposedly refused to allow his daughter to receive a transfusion because he is a Jehovah’s Witness and his religion does not allow this type of intervention.

Almost three decades Selena Quintanilla’s death at the hands of Yolanda Saldívar more theories continue to crop up about the murder of the Queen of Tex-Mex. Unfortunately these rumors have not been confirmed or completely denied by her family.

No one could save the Queen of Tex-Mex

On the other hand, El Heraldo USA reported that Selena’s unexpected death impacted the whole world. She was one of the most beloved singers and her loyal fans still continue to honor her today, despite the fact that she is no longer among us.

The idea that the Queen of Tex Mex could have been saved has caused a stir. Her father has made statements about it. «In the hospital, before I arrived, they did give her blood that day. Selena shot by a bullet that shattered her shoulder

When Selena’s father arrived at the hospital and received the report from the doctors, they informed him that his daughter had been hit by a 38-caliber bullet. It destroyed her right shoulder, lung, veins and a main artery, as reported by El Heraldo USA.

The main artery was cut in two by the impact of the bullet when Yolanda Saldívar shot her outside the motel where the former nurse was staying, after Selena asked her for the documents she had stolen. Unfortunately the Queen of Tex Mex lost her life and nothing could be done to save her.
