The story of the so-called Francisco Gómez began in 1985 when he left Mexico, fleeing the poverty of that time, in his words.

It took him two weeks by the river to reach this country, with no food to eat, and finally, with great effort, he arrived in Texas. From there, he sought employment to cover expenses.

After Texas, he moved to California where he held two jobs. Later, he moved to Atlanta, where he has remained up to this moment.

It was in this state where he discovered the work that would be the foundation for what he really wanted to do for the rest of his days in this world.

The Stone

Francisco entered the world of construction and observed how they worked with stone. Despite having no knowledge of this type of work, he decided to pursue it.

Over time, he learned more and more about this world. He admits that although his knowledge was not entirely extensive, he decided to start working for himself.

With the help of his mother, he bought a couple of tools that he already knew how to use and set to work to start something that was entirely his own.

Even before that moment, he always had in mind that this would be the case, that he would have his own company and would not always work as an employee.

His Work

Francisco says that his company mainly works with stone. They do practically all kinds of construction, such as fireplaces and waterfalls.

However, he emphasizes that the strong point of the company is undoubtedly pools. Francisco shares that every time he sees a finished pool job, he feels amazed at how much he loves this.

He says he has probably built more than a thousand pools and wouldn’t trade his work in this area of construction that fascinates him so much for anything.
