that millions of people are touting as a way to combat overwork without giving up their jobs. People are no longer fully dedicating their lives to work, according to Today and the Economista.

The term ‘quiet quitting’ was coined by TikToker @zkchillin. It’s the concept of separating work life from personal life for more balance. Many people identify with the sentiment because they don’t feel appreciated or adequately compensated by their employers.

Following this, Jim Harter, chief scientist for workplace and wellness at Gallup, told the news outlet: «Managers are really important and it does start at the top.» But the trend has already done its thing and it is continuing to pick up steam.

Clayton Farris, an actor who identifies himself with this, said in a video that he hasn’t stopped working as hard as he used to. «I still accomplish so much. I just don’t get stressed or torn apart internally. And it is beautiful!»  Filed Under: Quiet quitting TikTok

Charlotte Davies, an expert in professional careers on LinkedIn, also told Metro: “It could be as simple as a mindset shift, that’s not noticeable to anyone around you, but allows you to feel less mentally and emotionally invested in your job. If you are getting to the point in your career where you feel that you’re putting work above everything else – at the expense of other important parts of your life – it can be incredibly demoralizing.»

They advise that if there is an imbalance between your work, your pay and your desire to continue working, first talk to your supervisor about the issue and find a way to make things work for everyone. Filed Under: Quiet quitting TikTok
