The 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on Saturday, February 24.

Oppenheimer won the top film prize, and Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr also received statuettes.

However, one of the most memorable moments occurred because Pedro Pascal was drunk when he received his award.

The SAG Awards are known to be one of the major predictors for the Oscars, which will take place on March 10.

The ceremony was broadcast live on Netflix, becoming the first major Hollywood awards show air on a streaming platform

For this reason, there were some major changes from traditional awards shows. For instance, there were no commercials and profanity was allowed.

Also, winners, like Chilean actor Pedro Pascal, were interviewed backstage.

Shows that won at the Emmys and Golden Globes were big winners at the SAG Awards too.

These include The Bear, starring Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, which won best ensemble in a comedy series. Ali Wong and Steven Yeun won for Beef. And the cast of Succession won for best ensemble in a drama series.

Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal was drunk when he won the award for best actor in a drama series for The Last of Us.

With this, he became the first actor born in Latin America to be awarded in this category.

‘This is wrong for a number of reasons’

Pedro Pascal won for best male performance in a drama series.

He was up against Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin and Matthew Macfadyen from Succession, as well as Billy Crudrup from The Morning Show.

Upon hearing his name announced as the winner of this category, the Chilean actor could not hide his surprise.

Almost immediately, he took to the stage to accept his award and revealed something unexpected.

Visibly emotional, Pedro Pascal began his acceptance speech by saying that this was wrong for a number of reasons, according to People.

«I am a little drunk. I thought I could get drunk. And thank you, HBO for … geez Louise, I’m making a fool of myself. But thank you so much for this!»

Next, The Last of Us star said that he has been a member of SAG since 1999 and that it was «an incredible f***ing honor,» noting that they can swear because they’re on Netflix.

«To the nominees, all of you, I can’t remember any of your names right now,» he added

Before concluding his speech, Pedro Pascal thanked the people who gave him this job, as he has no other skills or interests.

Visibly moved, the Chilean actor said that he was about to have a panic attack and that he should probably leave the stage,.

Some of his fellow actors, like Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie, gave him a round of applause.
