This marks a significant milestone in the LatinX marketing and media strategy.

The new collaboration will include the podcast list of MundoNow’s Óyenos Audio network, which will be widely distributed through iHeartPodcasts.

Since its launch in February 2023, Óyenos Audio, led by Dafnne Wejebe, Director of Audio, has experienced notable growth.

Óyenos Audio has tripled in size, averaging an impressive 1.5 million downloads per month and growing.

This new partnership allows Óyenos Audio to leverage iHeartMedia’s broad reach, extensive sales network and marketing assets to further grow the LatinX media platform to new audiences.

Óyenos showcases the multifaceted experiences of Latinos in the U.S., enriching the podcasting landscape with diverse narratives and presenting a variety of genres.

«Our partnership with iHeart is an example of how much Óyenos Audio has achieved in such a short time,» said Wejebe.

Óyenos has developed a growing audience over the past year.

«The fact that our podcast network is now part of the number one audio company in the U.S. demonstrates the growth of each of our programs and the large audience that follows us,» she added.

This partnership indicates that Óyenos is heading in the right direction and that the audience following the platform is a demographic iHeart wants to reach.

«One always thinks that Hispanics only listen to content in Spanish, but we forget about a large percentage of listeners,» Dafne pointed out.

«Those whose parents immigrated to the United States when they were children or were even born here,» she added.

«Those who despite speaking Spanish at home, their first language is English, these audiences need content targeted to Hispanics delivered in their language, English,» she noted.

«This partnership will give us the opportunity to produce content in English but still aimed at Hispanics,» she said about the collaboration with iHeartMedia.

«In today’s ever-evolving media landscape, we continue to strive to deliver irresistible, informative and engaging content,» said René Alegría.

He added that they are appealing «to a large and significantly underserved audience: bilingual and bicultural Latinos.»

The timing of this partnership couldn’t be more opportune, as digital media consumption habits continue to evolve.

Mnthly podcast listening among Latinos has increased by 52 percent since 2022, nearly four times faster than the rate among the general U.S. population, according to Edison Research.

«We continue our effort to bring more diverse voices and content to our listeners and address the needs of the Latino community,» he added.

«Óyenos offers quality content that deeply resonates with bilingual and bicultural audiences.»

«And we look forward to providing them with the reach and accessibility that our multiplatform and assets have to offer,» said Biondo.

Daffne Wejebe points out the importance of initiatives like My Cultura from iHeartMedia, where companies recognize the importance of the Spanish-speaking market.

She noted that U.S. media with content targeted at the Anglo market has realized that they cannot ignore the Hispanic community.

She commented on the importance of distribution through the iHeart platform.

«The iHeart platform that goes hand in hand with My Cultura will be a link for our podcast network content to reach the ears of Hispanics hungry for our type of content,» she said.
