Gerardo Suárez Lomelí was born on May 21, 1970, in Mexico City.

At the age of 22, he landed his first role in the soap opera La Sonrisa del Diablo. Months later, he appeared in Corazón Salvaje alongside Eduardo Palomo and Edith González.

Gerardo Hemmer not only appeared in television shows, such as the soap opera Prisionera de Amor, he also acted in films.

In addition to his role in Hombres de Acero, directed by Valentín Trujillo, he was in the film Amor que Mata.

The journalist also reported that high-ranking Televisa officials covered up actor Gerardo Hemmer’s murder because they didn’t want a scandal.

Supposedly, Leopoldo Meraz, Víctor Hugo Sánchez’s boss, asked him not to continue investigating and to say that the death was due to asphyxiation from a butane gas leak.

«He told me that they killed Hemmer, that they cut off his genitals and put them in his mouth. Apparently, he was involved with someone, but that person was married,» said Sánchez.
