Users from Twitter to TikTok are fawning over the Ukrainian president’s moves. They are especially impressed the performance in which he and his partner, Olena Shoptenko, wear blindfolds as they manage to pull of their routine flawlessly just by counting steps.

President Zelensky is praised for his dance moves

“I actually fainted tho,” commented one TikTok user on the post that shows a part of the video of the performance by the Ukrainian president Zelensky and Olena Shoptenko. The celebration of Zelensky’s dance moves came just days after British actor Hugh Bonneville, one of the stars of the Paddington franchise, revealed that the 44-year-old president was also the familiar voice behind the Peruvian Bear in the Ukrainian versions of Paddington and Paddington 2.

«Until today I had no idea who was doing the voice of @paddingtonbear in Ukraine. Speaking for myself, thank you, President Zelenskiy. #PaddingtonBear,” he wrote in a tweet, alongside a video of Zelensky. And the news has been confirmed by the film’s producer, StudioCanal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Last week Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, targeting its capital Kiev, in a move Russian authorities called a «special military operation.» Other images that are circulating on media show the founder of the Servant of the People political party on the front lines with many of his compatriots. This has earned him praise for being a «true leader.»

The AP news agency reported that when Volodymyr Zelenskyy was growing up in southeastern Ukraine, his Jewish family spoke Russian and his father once forbade him from going to Israel to study. Instead, Zelensky studied law in Ukraine and, after graduating, found his passion in acting and comedy. In 2010 he became one of the most popular artists in the country with the TV series Servant of the People. On that show, he played a charming high school teacher fed up with corrupt politicians who accidentally becomes president.
