The Democratic candidate for Governor of Georgia, Stacy Abrams, was the first special guest in the recently launched series, The New Face of Georgia. The series is led by the newly formed Ethnic Media Collaborative, a space for live interviews with prominent personalities in Georgia that will be broadcast live on social networks.
In a first-of-its-kind event, media leaders from three of the fastest growing ethnic communities of color sat down with candidate Stacey Abrams. They discussed important issues in the African American, Asian American and Hispanic communities in front of a select group of invited guests.

Panelists for this first installment of the series are Li Wong, CEO/Publisher of the Georgia Asian Times; Janis Ware, editor of The Atlanta Voice and René Alegría, president and CEO of Mundo Hispánico, who spoke with leader Abrams about her ideas on the emerging The New Face of Georgia.
Mundo Hispano Digital Network, The Atlanta Voice and the Georgia Asian Times recently joined forces to establish The Ethnic Media Collaborative, with the goal of uniting Atlanta’s communities of color to impact the economic and political landscape affecting the diverse and growing population of Atlanta.
This collaboration is the first time that publishers of ethnic media publications have decided to partner for the good of the people of Georgia. With the growing population of black and brown people in metro Atlanta, The Ethnic Media Collaborative wants to make sure information and opportunities are available to everyone.
This first event is one of many planned to take place throughout the year.
