Another shooting claims lives in the United States. A shooting took place outside a hotel in North Carolina and left at least three people dead and two injured on Saturday night. According to reports from Fox News it all happened after 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 20.

Reports indicated that for reasons still unknown a shooting broke out Saturday night outside a hotel called the Baymont Ramada in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Three people died and two were injured.

Fatal shooting confirmed outside a hotel

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Baymont Ramada located in Fayetteville shortly before 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, according to Fox News. One person was found dead at the scene while two others died at a hospital, Fayetteville-based WNCN-TV reported.

Both surviving victims of the shooting were in critical condition, according to ABC 11, of Durham, North Carolina. The identities of all the victims have not yet been released. The Fayetteville Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.

Why did the shooting happen outside a hotel?

A car with a broken window was found in the hotel parking lot, while a wooden stick similar to a baseball bat was also seen on the pavement near the site, CBS 17 detailed in an updated report at around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday.

No arrests have been reported so far and Fayetteville police said the circumstances leading to the shooting outside the hotel were still under investigation, CBS 17 reported.
