The music magazine published a cover photo of the Watermelon Sugar singer, in which it named him the New King of Pop, something that was not taken well by a relative of Michael Jackson.

Taj Jackson, nephew of the deceased singer, raged on social media and tweeted at Rolling Stone. It should be noted that Taj recognized Styles’ talent, but stressed that his uncle worked for many years to earn the title of King of Pop.

“There is no new King of Pop. You don’t own the title @Rolling Stone, and you didn’t earn it, my uncle did. Decades of dedication and sacrifice. The title has been retired. No disrespect @Harry_Styles, he’s mega talented. Give him his own unique title,” Taj tweeted.
