The statements were made during Episode 3: ‘Coping with Mental Health’, of the Facebook show ‘Red Table Talk: The Estefans’ which stars Gloria Estefan, Lili Estefan and Emily Estefan.

The program from the beginning starts strong, Gloria Estefan begins talking about depression and a dark moment in her life in which she thought about dying and that the only thing that saved her from taking her own life was «thinking about others», in ¿ What would her mother and sister do if she were not there?

Suddenly Lili Estefan takes the floor to talk of one of the topics that according to his own words, he had never spoken before, because it was a very private situation.

Even the driver television confesses that he had to talk with his brothers and his father to be able to talk about the painful moment they lived as a family. «I come from a family that has suffered from mental problems», were the first words that Lili Estefan said to start talking about the death of her mother.
