They say when your time is up, it’s up and that seems to be true in this case.

It happened in December 2020 in Rancho El Gallito, located in Singuilucan, which is near Tulancingo, Hidalgo, Mexico.

Businessman Jorge Casillas Castellanos, 52 years old and originally from Capilla de Guadalupe, Jalisco, was waiting to board a helicopter.

If the tequila mogul had waited for the aircraft to come to a complete stop, we would be telling a different story.

According to infobae, after the helicopter blade struck Jorge Casillas Castellanos in the head and he was rushed to the hospital.

Upon arrival at the General Hospital of Tulancingo he was diagnosed with skull trauma with brain exposure.

Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save him and he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Authorities were notified that a man had been admitted to the hospital with a severe head injury.

Unfortunately, Jorge Casillas Castellanos died due to his own carelessness as he approached the helicopter while the blade was still spinning.

Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident, but since the aircraft privately owned, no further details were provided.

The tequila entrepreneur, who said he was an aviation fan, was the brother of Ricardo Casillas Castellanos.

Ricardo was the mayor of Tepatitlán de Morelos, Jalisco, for the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).

It is worth remembering that businessman Jorge Casillas Castellanos was the president of Tequila Galindo.

After the news of his death was announced, friends offered their condolences on social media.

«It is a very regrettable loss for the industry; we will remember him as a passionate businessman from Los Altos.»

This was posted by Rodolfo González González, president of the National Chamber of the Tequila Industry.

According to Dallas News, Ramón González Figueroa also spoke about his feelings after the death of Jorge Casillas Castellanos.

The director of the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT) stated that they wished to continue with the entrepreneur’s initiative to make their product an emblem of Mexico.

Meanwhile, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón, or ‘El Bronco,’ who was then the governor of Nuevo León, also weighed in on the tragedy.
