Empirical Spirits, originally from Denmark, is the company behind the creation of this innovative product.

Like any great idea, this one arose after a member of the Empirical team decided to experiment by mixing the chips with the distillation process.

Believe it or not, it’s actually made with real Nacho Cheese Doritos. It’s also made with malted barley and Belgian Saison 2 yeast.

It stands out for its vacuum distillation process, which preserves the flavor and aroma of the ingredients.

The nacho cheese notes are also complemented by flavors of toasted corn and umami.

As mentioned earlier, the idea of Doritos Nacho Cheese liquor was the result of an experiment by Lars Williams.

Williams is the co-founder of Empirical Spirits and years ago he was a chef at Noma restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark.

When experimenting with different distillation methods, he decided to use Doritos as an ingredient. Who could have imagined?

It is worth noting that initially, he didn’t have much faith in this project, but quickly reconsidered. Would you try it?

It was also available at some selected stores in New York and California. However, it sold out within hours.
