People on social media began to theorize about what had caused the cacophony, to the point of thinking that it had been an earthquake and even that it was military planes that had crossed the sound barrier, as well as many other theories. Other people believed that the explosion was caused by a meteor burning up in the atmosphere, but all this was still unsolved.
