Maricruz Olivier died on October 10, 1984, in Mexico City, from a non-traumatic cardiopulmonary arrest.

She was 50 years old at the time of her death. Previously, she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, leading to a deep depression.

In addition to being ill, she was unemployed, extremely depressed and lonely. It was said that she became bitter over time.

Her cancer was so aggressive that she weighed only 88 pounds and suffered from severe pain. Other rumors suggest she killed herself.
