Carlos Enrique Sánchez Martínez, better known as El Cholo, was the leader of the Nueva Plaza Cartel until the day of his murder.

Members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) brutally murdered him on March 18, 2021.

The drug trafficker reportedly broke away from Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as El Mencho, in 2017, after being accused of betrayal.

More than two years after this cruel murder, the final hours of the man known as El Cholo resurface.

«Both of us are against the CJNG»

In a video that went viral on social media, El Cholo is sitting and staring into the camera. Behind him are members of the CJNG.

After introducing himself, he says that he met with Omar García Harfuch (son of actress María Sorté) in Mexico City to seek his support.

«Both of us are against the CJNG and he offered me support,» said Carlos Enrique.

He claimed that the official told him that he «needed something relevant to be able to come to the city with all his people.»

El Cholo’s shocking confessions

In El Cholo’s final hours of life, he made some shocking confessions.

«I started with all the mass graves, those in Tonalá, Tlaquepaque, Tlajomulco, Zapopan. I made them, and I even called the authorities myself to make them.»

Then, Carlos Enrique Sánchez Martínez said that «here in the city,» he was supported by El 03 Mario Alberto and El 02 Zambrano.

«I also ordered the grenade to be thrown on the Mexican side,» stated this drug trafficker, who was killed in the worst possible way.

He claims responsibility for several deaths

Near the end of this chilling video, El Cholo claimed responsibility for the massacre of 11 construction workers, which was ordered by the Nueva Plaza Cartel.

«I also gave the order to ‘Marino’ to kill the 11 people, which happened recently in Tonalá in the neighborhood…,» the drug trafficker stated.

Finally, he said that all the chaos that unfolded was on his orders, but with the aim of gaining García Harfuch’s support.

«Stop messing around and focus on your families. See how I ended up,» Carlos Enrique Sánchez Martínez concluded.

How his body was found

According to Once Noticias, El Cholo’s body was found in a garden in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico.

He was wrapped in black plastic bags with two signs on his body. One of them said: «The traitor: Carlos Enrique Sánchez Martínez. Alias El Cholo.»

The other sign read: «Thanks to all those who sent me to heat up!» Simply chilling.

It didn’t take long for the authorities to confirm that it was El Cholo’s body.

Who was Carlos Enrique Sánchez Martínez?

As mentioned earlier, Carlos Enrique Sánchez Martínez was one of the allies of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as El Mencho.

However, in 2017, El Cholo began recruiting people to form the Nueva Plaza Cartel, according to infobae.

His goal was to wage war against the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and take control of the drug market in Guadalajara, Mexico.
