The young man, better known as El Pirata de Culiacán, was killed on December 18, 2017, in a bar in Zapopan, Jalisco in Mexico.

The YouTuber was known for showing off his excessive lifestyle, which seemed to amuse many internet users.

Nearly six years after his tragic death, the video in which El Pirata de Culiacán insults El Mencho has resurfaced.

On YouTube, you can find the El Pirata de Culiacán video where he insults Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, better known as El Mencho.

In just a few seconds, while seemingly intoxicated, the young man utters a series of difficult-to-understand phrases.

However, to the surprise of those present, he hurls an insult that would ultimately cost him his life.

«El Mencho, to me, is just talk,» said Juan Luis Lagunas Rosales, without realizing he was signing his death sentence.

«Rest in peace, Pirata»

It didn’t take long for internet users to react to the fateful El Pirata de Culiacán video, which now has over 400,000 views.

«For those who said they were going to kill him. Indeed, they already killed him in Jalisco.» «Apparently, they beat the poor guy up for talking too much.»

On the other hand, one user simply said RIP to El Pirata de Culiacán.

«How to commit suicide in one step.» «He poked the tiger’s balls.» «Even that guy stopped him from saying nonsense,» said others.

Who is El Mencho?

Hailing from Aguililla, Michoacán, where he was born on July 17, 1966, Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes is the leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel.

This narcotrafficker, who was insulted in the infamous El Pirata de Culiacán video, is one of the most wanted men in Mexico and the US.

There is a $10 million reward for information leading to his arrest or conviction.

It seems he didn’t find it amusing that a 17-year-old dared to challenge him in a video that went viral on social media.

Another person besides El Pirata de Culiacán died in the shooting

Raúl Sánchez Jiménez, acting head of the Jalisco State Attorney General’s Office, made a statement after this violent incident.

First, he confirmed that, in addition to El Pirata de Culiacán, the owner of Menta2 Cantaros bar also died.

«He died on the spot. It’s unclear whether he tried to shield himself or ran in the opposite direction. We are investigating and analyzing the videos,» he said.

Police couldn’t identify Juan Luis’s body right away

According to Milenio, El Pirata de Culiacán’s body remained in the morgue in Guadalajara, Jalisco, for several days.

At that point, no family member had come to identify Juan Luis Lagunas Rosales’ body.

It was known that the young man lived with his grandmother until he decided to try his luck in Culiacán, Sinaloa. A few years later, he was killed.
