Seven months after his departure from Despierta América, the Mexican host returned to TV this Monday and no one can believe it.

Carlos was told he was no longer working for Univision, so his time on Despierta América came to an end.
For more than two decades, among twists and turns, Carlos Calderón was one of the most well-known faces on Univision.
The Mexican host was not only fired from the morning show, he was cut from Univision altogether.
Calderón was notified of his dismissal on the morning of Wednesday, January 11, when he arrived at the network.
Then Telemundo’s Hoy Día announced Carlos Calderón would be joining the rival network’s morning show.
This was announced live on Monday’s show.
«Tomorrow, Monday, August 14, on Hoy Día we are pleased to have Carlos Calderón as a presenter,» they said on social media.
«We are waiting for you at 7AM/6C on Telemundo,» their Instagram post continued.
Carlos was welcomed to Telemundo
Internet users quickly began reacting to this surprising news.

«I hope he is the one who shines in that program!!!! Carlos well deserved,» wrote another.
«Wow tomorrow I watch the program for Carlos because after Adamari I did not watch it, congratulations Carlos,» they gushed.
Carlos Calderón boasts his return to TV
This morning, Carlitos Calderón also shared his sudden move to Telemundo with his followers.
He published a selfie on his official Instagram account where he can be seen smiling in the Hoy Día studio.
«I started something new. Thank you all for the cheers,» he wrote in the description of the photo.
In it, he tagged the show’s official Instagram account.
Congratulations on this new phase
The host of El Gordo y la Flaca, Raúl de Molina, commented on Carlos’ post.
«Good time Carlitos,» the Cuban host wrote. Other colleagues have also congratulated him on social media.
His partner, the model and actress Vanessa Lyons also commented: «ESOOOOOOOOOOOO NBC another levelllllll.»
«How nice that you return to television, although I would have liked you to be on Univision,» wrote a fan.
Is he Adamari’s replacement?
When Adamari López left Hoy Día, Carlos Calderón dedicated a message to her that caused a lot of controversy on social media.
In an Instagram story, the Mexican host shared a magazine photo of the beloved Puerto Rican appears.
«Welcome to this place, I’m going to show you everything, it’s complicated, but it’s not that bad,» he wrote next to the image.
