On Thursday, August 22, the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) in Venezuela made a pronouncement regarding the electoral dispute.
The TSJ ratified the results presented by the National Electoral Council (CNE) after the presidential election on July 28.
Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez, president of the TSJ, affirmed the competence of the Electoral Chamber to certify these results.
Rodríguez stated that a massive cyberattack against the electoral system was evident.
CNE and TSJ: Validation of Results and Official Publication
The CNE appeared with its principal members, except Juan Carlos Del Pino, who did not justify his absence.
According to the president of the TSJ, the bulletins issued by the CNE are supported by the records of the electoral machines.
The TSJ certified the expert evidence and validated the results issued by the CNE, where Nicolás Maduro was elected.
The TSJ urged the CNE to publish the final results in the Official Gazette.
Additionally, the judicial body requested the prosecutor’s office to investigate the unrest generated by opposition elements.
The magistrate noted that the evidence will remain under the custody of the TSJ.

Earlier, opposition leader María Corina Machado challenged the TSJ to validate the electoral fraud.
Machado used the social network X to express her stance, stating: “TSJ: Pay attention to it.”
Both the TSJ and the CNE are headed by officials linked to Chavismo.
