Donald Trump is not one to praise his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, but he attempted it in his own way… by comparing her TIME magazine cover to his wife, Melania.

On Monday night, Trump — the Republican presidential candidate — participated in an extensive interview with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk on X Spaces.

After resolving some technical issues, the conversation started, and Trump eventually praised Kamala for appearing on the cover of TIME on Monday, titled «Her Moment.»

Trump told Musk, «She looks like the most beautiful actress there ever was. It was a drawing, and actually, she looked a lot like a great first lady, Melania.»

He added, «She didn’t look like Camilla, but, of course, she is a beautiful woman, so we’ll leave it at that.»

This language is quite strange according to some users, as Trump usually attacks his opponents with biting words.

Internet users did not hesitate to comment: «It’s true, she is very beautiful», «He is obsessed with her», «He is caught by the Biden effect».

In the interview, Trump criticized Harris for being what he considers a radical left-wing liberal.

Trump also criticized Kamala for not having done an interview since the vice president replaced President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket.

Likewise, he did not hesitate to describe her rise as a «coup,» as detailed by TMZ.

Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential race after his performance in the debate against Trump.

Kamala Harris quickly took the reins without facing a challenge in a primary.
