As 2023 comes to an end, we look at four Latin artists who appear in Spotify’s top 10 most listened to artists.

But before that, in an honorable fifth place, we find the Colombian singer Carolina Giraldo Navarro, better known as Karol G.

La Bichota released her album Mañana Será Bonito in February, becoming the first woman to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 with a Spanish-language album.

On the same day that Mañana… was released, Karol G released the her collaboration with Shakira, ‘TQG,’ which was a huge hit.

The artist’s winning streak did not end there, as she won the Grammy for Best Album of the Year and Best Urban Album.

In 2023, she signed with Interscope Records, becoming the sole owner of all her recordings.

Finally, in August, her mixtape Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season) was released, which includes collaborations with Peso Pluma and Kali Uchis.

One of the pioneers of corridos tumbados

Among the top 10 Latin artists is the Mexican singer Junior H.

Also known as Antonio Herrera Pérez, he is considered one of the pioneers of the corridos tumbados subgenre.

In 2023 he collaborated with Peso Pluma on the songs ‘El Azul,’ ‘El Tsurito,’ ‘Lady Gaga,’ ‘Luna,’ and ‘Bipolar.’

In August, three of his albums went platinum.

Feid is one of the top 10 Latin artists on Spotify

Now it’s Colombian singer, songwriter and record producer Salomón Villada Hoyos’ turn.

Better known as Feid, or by his alter ego Ferxxo, in March of this year, he released the single ‘Remix Exclusivo.’

He collaborated with artists like Nicky Jam, Sky Rompiendo, Myke Towers, Saiko, Quevedo and Mora.

Finally, in September, his album Mor, No le Temas a la Oscuridad was released, although he said it was not complete. On December 1, he released an EP.

From Mexico to the world

Peso Pluma could not be missing from the list of top 10 Latin artists.

Certainly, Hassan Emilio Kabande has had a spectacular year. His song ‘Ella Baila Sola’ is the best song of the year, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

In June, he released his third studio album, called Génesis, which reached #10 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart less than a week after its release.

To conclude, La Doble P made his relationship with the Argentinian rapper Nicki Nicole official.

Bad Bunny heads the list of top 10 Latin artists on Spotify

According to Statista, Bad Bunny is the most listened to Latin artist on Spotify.

As if that were not enough, Benito Antonio was the second most listened to artist worldwide in 2023, behind Taylor Swift.

Although he had announced at the end of 2022 that he would take a break from music to take care of his mental health, just as people expected, he couldn’t stay away.

In October, Bad Bunny presented his fifth studio album called Nadie Sabe lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. It was the most played of the year on Spotify.
