Young TikToker Valeria Márquez, just 23 years old, was brutally murdered on Tuesday, May 13, while livestreaming from her beauty salon in Zapopan, Jalisco.

The attack took place in the Santa María Plaza shopping center, where she ran her business, “Blossom The Beauty Lounge.”

According to initial reports, an armed man entered the premises disguised as a delivery driver.

“Is it you?” the assailant asked as he approached her.

After confirming her identity, the man lowered the volume on his device, pulled out a gun, and shot her at point-blank range.

Witnesses said the killer quickly fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Although the exact moment of the attack wasn’t captured in the video, clients in the salon were seen running for cover in panic.

Valeria was livestreaming on TikTok when the crime occurred.

She had nearly 100,000 followers on TikTok and 73,000 on Instagram.

“Did anyone see her get shot?” wrote one user after watching the video.

“Yes, I’m in shock,” replied another, stunned by the horror broadcast live.

Just minutes before the murder, the young woman had made an unsettling joke in another video.

Valeria Márquez pretended to be wounded and jokingly said, “I thought they were going to kill me.”

What seemed like a grim joke tragically came true.

An hour after the attack, police, emergency responders, investigators from the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office, and forensic experts from the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences arrived at the scene.

As of Wednesday morning, her body remained in the metropolitan morgue while her family handled the procedures for the release of her remains.

This femicide marks the eighth in May in Guadalajara.

It is also the third execution in Zapopan’s Zona Real since May 10.

Authorities are reviewing footage from nearby security cameras to identify the killer.
