RichMusic and Warner Music Latina are breaking records globally with the launch of The Academy: Segunda Misión.

The Academy: Segunda Misión brings together, for the second time in five years, prominent urban artists like Sech, Dalex, Dimelo Flow, Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavarez.

It has reached #1 on Apple Music Top Latin Albums and #2 on Spotify Top Global Albums.

The album is a huge success

The Academy: Segunda Misión reached #1 in more than 10 countries in its first week on the Apple Music charts.

These include Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama and Peru.

On YouTube, the music video for ‘LA RANGER’ is trending globally in its first week, reaching #1 in Puerto Rico and Panama, and #2 in Uruguay.

It’s at #3 in Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru and Honduras; and #4 in Mexico and Argentina.

Dalex managed to position himself as the highest-ranked artist with a new release on the Spotify Top Artists Global list at #135.

The Academy: Segunda Misión advanced the most in Latin American countries on the Spotify Top Weekly Artists list.

It also debuted on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm and Latin General charts at eighth and nineteenth place, respectively.

“We are very happy with the global fans’ reception of Segunda Misión,” commented RichMusic CEO Rich Méndez.

Mixed emotions after the album’s launch

“When The Academy was released five years ago, we knew instantly that something special had been created, uniting leading artists of the genre.

«Being able to remake it with the most relevant stars of the urban genre creating new music is a dream come true,» he said.

In 2019, the group came together to create The Academy, an album that marked a milestone in the history of urban music.

It brought together prominent artists of the genre and broke streaming records, in addition to receiving multiple certifications.

The success of The Academy: Segunda Misión

The Academy: Segunda Misión consists of nine previously unreleased songs by the biggest urban stars.

These include Myke Towers, Yandel, María Becerra, Arcángel, Eladio Carrión, De La Ghetto, Jay Wheeler, Ryan Castro, iZaak, Randy, Zion, Omar Courtz, Bryantt Myers, Dei V and Natti Natasha.

Sech, Dalex, Dimelo Flow, Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavarez will be presenting their new material at the Latin American Music Awards in Las Vegas on April 25.

Founded in 2007 by father and son team Rich and Josh Méndez, RichMusic has established itself as the premier Latin and independent record label in the industry.

Collaborations and awards

They boast a roster of first class artists such as Sech, Dímelo Flow and Dalex among others.

The label has received multiple Billboard Latin Music Awards nominations, including Latin Rhythm Albums Label of the Year, Top Latin Albums Label of the Year and Top Latin Albums Imprint of the Year.

For the past three years, the group has been immersed in their creative process, meeting periodically in a studio to exchange ideas.

The Academy shared a preview on TikTok of their first single ‘La Ranger,’ which went viral, achieving more than 30,000 views in just eight days.

Innovation and fan participation at the album launch

For this release, Los Avengers have decided to involve fans in this new album, integrating them into the mission and showing the entire behind-the-scenes process of their eight videos through a live broadcast.

The stream offered insights and real-time information about the video production process.

In addition, the tracklist was revealed little by little through the Kings League networks and continued through various influencers close to the project.

Segunda Misión promises to take listeners on a unique musical journey, fusing the different styles and talents of each member of The Avengers into an album full of energy, rhythm and impactful lyrics.

Dalex and Dímelo Flow’s impact on the music scene

With a perfect blend of innovative sounds and surprising collaborations, the album is destined to leave its mark on the urban music industry.

Dalex Pedro David Daleccio Torres, known as Dalex, began his solo career with RichMusic. His success was consolidated with the single ‘Sitio Pal Millón’ in 2018.

Dímelo Flow Jorge Valdés Vázquez, known as DJ Flow or Dímelo Flow, is a Panamanian DJ and producer based in the United States.

He collaborated with numerous artists in the Latin music industry such as J Balvin, Justin Quiles, Dalex and Feid and released his debut album Always Dream in 2022, featuring Ozuna, Nicky Jam, Arcángel and Reik.
