The campus of Norfolk State University in Virginia was the scene of a shooting last Saturday night.
At least two people sustained gunshot wounds in the midst of a chaotic student environment.
According to the Norfolk Police Department, the shooting was reported around 11:30 p.m.
The events took place on the 2200 block of Presidential Parkway, within the university campus.

Police responded immediately after receiving emergency calls reporting gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers found two men with gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital for urgent medical treatment.
According to police, one of the victims is in critical condition, with life-threatening injuries.
Officers were called to the scene on Saturday shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Presidential Parkway, near the Greek Row section of campus.

So far, the identities of the victims and their affiliation with the university have not been released.
The area where the Norfolk shooting occurred has been identified as Greek Row, a section of campus where student fraternities reside.
Campus spokesperson Stan Donaldson confirmed to ABC News affiliate WVEC that both campus security and local police responded to the incident together.
“There is an ongoing investigation, and no further information is available at this time,” Donaldson told WVEC.
The shooting prompted the university to take immediate safety measures, according to ABC News.
During the early hours of Sunday morning, the campus was closed to allow for the investigation.
Authorities have not announced any arrests or identified possible suspects so far. The motive behind the attack also remains unknown.
