On January 26, 2020, the terrible helicopter crash occurred in Calabasas, California, a few minutes before ten in the morning.
The aircraft crashed in the midst of thick fog and almost immediately caught fire. As mentioned, no one on board survived.
Los Angeles County firefighters were able to extinguish the flames at around 10:30 a.m.
Just over a year later, reports concluded that the pilot flew into thick clouds, which is prohibited.

What does Kobe Bryant’s autopsy say?

But that’s not all, as it’s reported that Kobe Bryant’s autopsy revealed the severe damage he suffered.
Allegedly, second- and third-degree burns charred a good part of his torso, and one of his arms was missing.
He also suffered an exposed fracture of the spine, which would have protruded through his neck. Simply horrifying.
But there was more… Kobe allegedly lost both legs and his face was completely disfigured.
How forensic doctors identified Kobe’s body

Forensic doctors were able to identify Kobe Bryant’s corpse, as well as two other men and one woman who were on the helicopter, through fingerprints.
The rest of the occupants were identified hours later by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Jennifer Homendy, of the National Transportation Safety Board, said that the accident scene was «quite devastating.»
She also revealed that the remains of the aircraft were scattered over approximately 600 square feet. A complete nightmare.
Was the pilot to blame for this accident?

Jennifer Homendy stated that the helicopter pilot made a special request to fly below the minimum of a thousand feet as required by visual flight rules.
According to infobae, this permission was granted, but before the crash, he said he was ascending to avoid a cloud layer.
«The question of whether the pilot should have been flying in that fog is part of our investigation,» Homendy said.
Meanwhile, pilot Philippe Lesourd said it is most likely that the helicopter pilot suffered from spatial disorientation.
