Recently, he appeared on Alejandro Chabán’s podcast, where he spoke unusually openly about the sexual orientation of his daughter, Paola.

People Must Be Accepted

After discussing his partner, Jorge Ramos was asked about the conversation he had with Paola Ramos regarding her sexuality.

«I think it’s very simple, you have to accept people as they are,» commented the journalist.

He added that it’s easier said than done, but that’s the only way to live.

«It’s absurd to try to impose a point of view on someone and it’s wonderful to recognize people as they are.»

It’s Been a Very Long Conversation Over the Years

In this interview with Alejandro Chabán, Jorge Ramos revealed that this has been a very long conversation spanning years with his daughter Paola Ramos.

«I have learned many things thanks to her. She has set the pace and the way we understand each other,» he added.

The journalist also mentioned that, to this day, they have these conversations, sometimes complicated and difficult, where she is the teacher.

Listeners were surprised by the way Ramos ‘unburdened’ himself when talking about his daughter’s sexual orientation.

Towards the end, Jorge Ramos said that he has accepted ‘as the most normal thing in the world’ that his daughter Paola Ramos is gay.

«That’s exactly it, and accepting it as the most normal thing in the world is the best lesson you can give anyone,» he affirmed.
