Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell is one of those rare success stories in the music industry.

At just 13 years old, she began to attract attention with the song ‘Ocean Eyes,’ which her brother Finneas O’Connell wrote.

Shortly after came worldwide fame, awards and accolades. Her debut album was one of the best-selling in 2019.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, where she was born on December 18, 2001, Billie Eilish recently gave a revealing interview to Variety.

In this conversation, the singer began by saying she has never been able to relate well to girls.

She also acknowledged that she loves, and is attracted to, the women in her life as individuals — leading many to think that it’s only a matter of time before she comes out as a lesbian.

«I’m physically attracted to them. But I’m also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence,» she said.

In another part of this interview, the ‘Bad Guy’ singer said that the public scrutiny she faced during her adolescence was «weird and upsetting.»

She confessed that she didn’t want people to have access to her body, not even visually. That is why she developed her signature style of wearing baggy clothing.

«I wasn’t strong enough and secure enough to show it. If I had shown it at that time, I would have been completely devastated if people had said anything.»

The young artist admitted that she has never felt particularly desirable or traditionally feminine.

Near the end of the interview, Billie Eilish said that she has to convince herself that she is a pretty girl… and we all know she’s beautiful.

«I identify as ‘she/her’ and things like that, but I’ve never really felt like a girl,» commented the’What Was I Made For’ singer.

This song, which is on the Barbie movie soundtrack, sparked all kinds of reactions among her fans.

She shared that it has been very moving and that she feels it has helped bring people together: «I feel like I helped bring people together, and it felt so special. I wasn’t expecting to have women around the world feel connected.»

She feels that she is now «waking up»

To conclude the conversation, Eilish said the following.

«I feel like I’m becoming a person I really love and doing things I feel really proud of.»

To top it off, the singer, who will turn 22 on December 18, said that she feels like she is just now «waking up.»

Several months ago, she made her acting debut in the series Swarm, where she played the character of Eva.

So is Billie Eilish  gay? According to People magazine, Billie Eilish talked about her blonde era and why she’s moved on from it.

«I was really excited for the blonde era — like, Blonde Billie is gonna be so cool. But it did not go how I wanted it to go.”

Furthermore, the young artist said that she felt she lost her identity during this phase. Though, it’s important to note she’s a natural blonde.

«I completely had no idea who I was,” she shared. “I came up with this whole aesthetic, and I just got swallowed up into it,» she added.
