Opening her heart to ELLE magazine, Emma Coronel Aispuro, broke her silence for the first time after leaving a Texas prison.
«I hope for many good and beautiful things in my life,» El Chapo’s wife told journalist Emily Palmer.
Emma Coronel was surprised by Palmer’s empathy in the face of the harshness she experienced in prison.
She was arrested in 2021 and charged with helping her husband commit various crimes involved with drug trafficking.
Emma Coronel released from prison: Is she finally happy?

One of El Chapo’s wife’s biggest worries when she was in prison was the well-being of her twin daughters: Emily and María Joaquina.
The twins’ mother stressed on several occasions that she wanted to be with them and, after three years in prison, she can hold them in her arms again.
She told ELLE that she is «excited to be with her daughters again» and to enjoy «quality moments,» with them.
But, without a doubt, one of Emma’s biggest joys after her release was the fact that she was able to savor a steak that her family prepared for her.
What does the future hold for Emma Colonel?

Before giving this interview, her lawyer Mariel Colón Miro declared that Coronel was excited to return to her career in fashion design.
Now, Emma Coronel emphasized that she’s focused on her career plans, which are still evolving, according to ELLE.
«I still can’t say the plans, because then later they won’t come to be,» Emma told the outlet.
The model, journalist and designer added: «But they are many and beautiful.» She still has four years left to serve on supervised release in Los Angeles.
Will she return to Mexico?

One of the questions most people have about Emma Coronel is whether she will eventually return to Mexico.
According to what she told ELLE magazine, Joaquín Guzmán Loera’s wife has completely ruled out returning to Sinaloa.
If she returns to Mexico, she has few possibilities, and she actually saw her time in prison as an escape from her former life.
Now, El Chapo’s wife will remain in Los Angeles serving her sentence and living with her daughters and family.
