It may not be talked about much, but there are several superheroes that are bisexual.

Marvel is one of the most inclusive superhero universes.

Here, we present some bisexual characters from the Marvel Universe that you probably weren’t aware of… or were you?

Deadpool will be bisexual in his next film

Despite Deadpool being openly pansexual in the comics, there will be a surprise in his upcoming film.

It is said that Ryan Reynolds, who famously plays this character, has asked the producers to make Deadpool bisexual.

It’s worth noting that in the first two movies, this character was heterosexual, but now they will explore this other facet of the popular superhero.

«The best thing about Deadpool is that we’re allowed to do things that other superhero movies don’t necessarily do,» Reynolds told Empire magazine.

Loki is gender fluid

One of the most beloved bisexual Marvel characters for audiences of all ages, despite being a villain, is undoubtedly Loki.

It’s practically impossible not to associate him with Tom Hiddleston, the British actor who has portrayed him for several years.

According to Homosensual, Loki is not only gender-fluid but also bisexual.

In one episode of the series, available on Disney+, he revealed that he liked both women and men. He is out and proud.

Mystique is another bisexual Marvel character

Mystique, aka Raven Darkhölme, was portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence in one of the X-Men movies.

Marvel fans were surprised when the films didn’t depict her as bisexual, as they do in the comics.

Historically Mystique has had relationships with both men and women, even with her fellow mutants, Destiny and Sabertooth.

During the 1980s and 1990s, the relationship between Mystique and Destiny was disguised in the comic to avoid censorship.

According to Fotogramas, Marvel confirmed in the final days of 2020, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, that Star-Lord is bisexual.

Although it’s not very clear in the movies, in the comics, Peter Quill is in a polyamorous bisexual relationship.

One of Marvel’s most beloved bisexual characters befriends two humanoid beings.

Star-Lord enters into a polyamorous relationship with this couple who had been together for 12 years. What will actor Chris Pratt say about all this?

What about Psylocke?

To conclude this list of bisexual Marvel characters, we present Psylocke, portrayed by actress Elizabeth Braddock.

According to Homosensual, she is bisexual in both the comics and in the movies and she has had relationships with both men and women.

In the third installment of The Daredevils, she works for the government organization Strike. She had relationships with Archangel, who is a man, and Cluster, who is a woman.

Are there other bisexual Marvel characters? Irene Adler, better known as Destiny,  Maxwell Dillon, aka Electro and the warrior Valkyrie are just a few.
