The incident occurred on May 29, 2023, when Jenkins, his victim Clayton Anderson and three others were at the Morgantown Walmart.

Unable to find what they were looking for, they decided to drive to the Walmart in Grafton.

Jenkins admitted to firing a gun inside the store three times, wounding Anderson in the leg and hand.

After the shooting, Jenkins fled the store and headed towards Marion County line with the police in pursuit.

Jenkins’ escape ended on East Grafton Road, where his car became disabled. Jenkins shot himself in the face out of desperation.
