Despite their mutual attraction, Lucero explained that they were never an official couple due to the circumstances of their lives.

«We were infatuated with each other, but we were not officially dating,» Lucero confessed during the interview.
At 15, Lucero knew that falling madly in love with Luis Miguel could lead to a painful outcome.

The young actress sensed that once the film was over, she might not see the singer again, which made her reconsider her feelings.
«When I was 15, I thought that if I fell head over heels for Luis Miguel, I would suffer a lot,» Lucero explained.
She understood that Luis Miguel already had an established career, while hers was just beginning.
«I was very clear about that because he already had his career made, and I was just taking off, so it would have been chaotic,» she added.
Lucero also recalled how, during the filming of «Fiebre de Amor,» the two young stars enjoyed their time together.
«We had a lot of fun and would blush when we saw each other before filming our scenes,» she said with a smile.
Despite the evident attraction, Lucero remained focused on her career, knowing that teenage love could derail her path, reported Agencia México.
«I knew that if I fell in love, I would end up with a broken heart,» the singer confessed.
