Originally from Delicias, Chihuahua in Mexico, La Bronca came to the United States when she was very young, never imagining what destiny had in store for her.

At the age of 17, she was selected for a television program called Al Banquillo con Sylvia del Valle.

Later, she appeared on Al Tiro con La Bronca on MUN2. There, she reached audiences coast to coast from 2012 to 2013.

As if that weren’t enough, she co-hosted El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo on Univision, in addition to hosting El Free-Güey con La Bronca.

She’s loaded with talent and charm

Few know that La Bronca has supported the Children’s Hospital of Oakland with awareness campaigns and fundraising.

She also appeared in national radio and television campaigns for brands such as Budweiser, NASCAR and DirecTV.

A few years ago, Sylvia del Valle gave an interview to Univision where she described herself as a «fighter.»

She also revealed that since giving birth to her son Luca, she discovered what motherly love means. She said it was a miracle that changed her life.

In this conversation, La Bronca said that before her radio career, she worked as a nanny and dishwasher, as well as scrubbing floors and cleaning bathrooms.

She was bullied for being Latina as a child, although she claims that it strengthened her and taught her to stand up for herself.

Why is she called La Bronca?

Sylvia Ivonne del Valle Sáenz has been married for several years to Assi Luskey, whom she affectionately calls by a unique nickname.

Speaking of nicknames, she got hers when a former boss started calling her ‘La Bronca’ because she wouldn’t let anyone push her around.

According to Univision, this nickname helped her create a character, which she describes as talkative and close to her audience.

Finally, she has mentioned on several occasions that she got into radio purely by chance.
