One student lost his life and two others were injured in a stabbing attack that occurred Wednesday outside Santa Ana High School in Santa Ana, California.
The incident, which took place at 3:25 p.m. local time, left the school community devastated and in shock.
The Santa Ana Unified School District expressed its condolences in a statement on Facebook.
“Our thoughts are with the family of the student who passed away and with all those affected by this senseless act of violence,” the school district said.

The attack occurred just after school dismissal, when three teens were stabbed by suspects who are also students at the same school.
According to local outlets like ABC7 and KTLA5, a 14-year-old boy was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died due to the severity of his injuries.

The other two victims, aged 15 and 16, were also taken to nearby hospitals but were listed in stable condition.
Both remained hospitalized the following day, according to the school district.
Suspects Flee the Scene, Emotional Support for Students
The stabbing occurred directly outside the school, causing great alarm among students, parents, and school staff.
The suspects, who are also students at the school, fled the scene after the attack.
Santa Ana Police and Santa Ana School Police have launched an investigation to determine what happened.
As of now, the suspects remain at large.
In response to the tragedy, the school district announced the deployment of crisis counselors at the affected schools, including Santa Ana High School and Heninger Elementary, to provide emotional support to students and staff.
“We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and caring environment for all students and staff,” the Santa Ana Unified School District stated.
In addition, campus security has been reinforced, with increased presence from school police both inside and outside the school.
Efforts to ensure the safety of students and prevent similar incidents remain a top priority for local authorities.
