Miguel Almirón returns to Atlanta United after his stint with Newcastle United in the Premier League.
The Georgia-based club announced his return last Thursday.
The 30-year-old Paraguayan international has signed a contract through the end of the 2027 season.
His deal includes an option to extend his stay until 2028.

Almirón will occupy a Designated Player spot on the ‘Five Stripes’ roster.
The midfielder was crucial during the team’s most successful moments in MLS.
In 2019, his transfer to Newcastle set a league transfer record.
He now returns with a guaranteed three-year contract and an additional option.

He thanked owner Arthur M. Blank and the organization for the opportunity.
«I look forward to reuniting with the fans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and creating more joyful moments together,» he added.
The Paraguayan will occupy an international slot on the team.
His transfer cost around 10 million dollars, with additional fees, according to reports.
