The White House unveiled the official portrait of First Lady Melania Trump on Monday, a black-and-white image captured by Belgian photographer Regine Mahaux.
Mahaux had previously photographed Melania Trump for her official portrait during Donald Trump’s first term (2017-2021).
The portrait was taken on January 21, the day after Trump’s inauguration, in the Yellow Oval Room.
This room, located on the second floor of the White House, serves as part of the presidential family’s residence.

Many commented that «she is not the one governing the country» and speculated that the image looked artificially generated. «Retouched rather than photographed. Looks like bad AI,» «and that reptile, who is it?» «almost looks human,» some remarked. Others added: «Someone should tell her she won’t be the one ruling,» «are we sure that’s Melania? Her face looks eerily similar to Trump’s—too much proximity takes a toll.» [caption id="attachment_1382603" align="alignnone" width="1200"]
