Some Latin singers are known for their devotion to the Virgin of Guadalupe and one of them is Lorenzo Méndez.

Chiquis Rivera’s ex went to the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City to sing the song ‘Plegaria Guadalupana’ to La Patrona de México.

What few know is that Our Lady of Guadalupe granted him and a member of his family a miracle.

Through his official Instagram account, Lorenzo Méndez had announced that he would sing to the Virgin of Guadalupe.

After announcing that people could see him on a special program on TV Azteca, he said that this was an honor for him.

«Thanks for the invitation to Jorge Zapata for making this dream come true. Thank you,» the singer said.

His followers immediately congratulated him. One of them revealed that they saw the artist with «eyes full of faith.»

In his most recent post, Lorenzo Méndez shared the video of the moment he sang to the Virgin of Guadalupe.

It is worth noting that Chiquis Rivera’s ex performed a never-released song written by his uncle Fidel, called ‘Plegaria Guadalupana.’

With his unique style, the young artist demonstrated the talent that brought him fame with La Original Banda El Limón.

Chiquis Rivera’s ex gave an interview to Venteando, where he talked about the miracle granted to him by the Virgin of Guadalupe.

«I remember that as a child, we went to Ciudad Juárez (Mexico), and there was a church, and we asked the Virgin to help me win a singing contest,» he said.

Lorenzo Méndez, at 8 years old, won first place in this contest thanks to La Morenita del Tepeyac, who granted another miracle to his family.

«My sister, in fact, couldn’t get pregnant, and she is super devoted to the Virgin of Guadalupe, and she asked  her to get pregnant, and now my niece is named Guadalupe,» he added.

Lorenzo’s wasn’t the only one

Singer Alann Mora recalled an occasion when the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared at an event he had in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.

«My grandfather died that night. At that moment, I felt a very strong gust of wind, and I was singing. I felt his smell, and it was a smell of roses,» he said.

Like Lorenzo Méndez, La Patrona de México was there at a very special moment for Alann Mora.

«I always had a photo of the Virgin of Guadalupe and my grandfather on the bus. The photo of the Virgin was on my bed, on my bunk bed,» he concluded.

The singer asked for another ‘miracle’

According to Mamás Latinas, Lorenzo Méndez asked for a ‘miracle’ — although not necessarily from the Virgin — to get his ex back.

The singer sent a message to Chiquis Rivera, which caused all kinds of reactions.

«Just as the miracle of Jesus walking on the waters of the Sea of Galilee was performed, I pray and hope that a miracle will happen in our lives with or without each other.»

Unfortunately, luck was not on his side, and Chiquis Rivera did not want to stay with him. Shortly after, the couple divorced.
