Historian Allan Lichtman, famous for his predictive model of presidential elections, which has correctly forecasted every winner since 1984, has shared his prediction for the 2024 election.

Lichtman, a professor at American University and creator of the «13 Keys» model for the White House, asserts that Kamala Harris has met the criteria necessary for victory.

Unlike typical forecasts, Lichtman doesn’t rely on polls or expert opinions. This is why he’s called the Nostradamus of elections.

His system is based on a series of true or false questions that evaluate the party in power and its performance.

The keys include factors such as gains in midterm elections, candidate charisma, scandals, and foreign policy.

Currently, Harris has passed six of the thirteen keys required, including those related to the incumbent’s charisma and gains in midterm elections.

Although foreign policy and social unrest are «unstable» areas, they have not significantly impacted Lichtman’s evaluation of the presidential elections.

Lichtman’s model also highlights that the party in the White House avoided an internal contest and faces no strong third-party challenger, strengthening his prediction in Harris’s favor.

With the short-term economy in good shape and solid economic growth during the current term, the economic keys also favor the vice president.
