Jorge Ramos, one of the most recognized Hispanic journalists, is officially saying goodbye to Univisión after a remarkable 38-year career.

Ramos confirmed that he would not be renewing his contract with the network, and his last broadcast would take place in December.

On Friday, December 13, he marks the end of an era.

He shared a heartfelt farewell message and a series of photos on Instagram to commemorate his journey.

“This Friday is my last newscast on Univisión after 38 years. And on Sunday, the last episode of Al Punto airs after 17 years. Just pure gratitude,” Ramos wrote in his post.

The journalist shared a collection of photos capturing moments from his illustrious career, including interviews with prominent figures such as Trump, Biden, and Obama, as well as snapshots with colleagues and memories from his early days as a reporter.

Fans, celebrities, and colleagues flooded the comments to express their admiration and gratitude for Ramos’ contributions.

“Thank you for everything, we will miss you,” “An era comes to an end. The best of all,” “Thank you for all that you have done,” “You’re an incredible role model,” they wrote.

While many were moved by Ramos’ farewell, others expressed their joy at his exit from Univisión.

“Too bad you never did anything for the community,” “Good riddance, bye, we don’t want or need you,” “Thank God you’re leaving,” some critics posted.

However, prominent figures like Quique Usales, Sebastián Yatra, Ilia Calderón, Lydia Cacho, Carlitos Calderón, and Lourdes del Río left heartfelt messages to honor Ramos’ legacy.
